Areas of Practice
Charles practices commercial and collections litigation; civil Litigation with an emphasis on Debtor/Creditor law, in particular with the automotive industry and equipment financing. He has had the Oakville office at 233 Robinson Street for the last 22 years which continues a general practice including Wills and Estates, Real Estate, Corporate/Commercial, Family, as well as Litigation.
Charles’ approach is to make himself available at any time of the day to meet the clients’ needs and to do whatever is necessary, with the legal tools available, to protect his clients’ interests. This includes meetings, advice, and any legal proceedings required to accomplish client goals, including mediation, arbitration and court proceedings.
Associations and Background
Charles has been in practice for 33 years and has been a Partner with EHPNF since 1987. Charles is a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario and member of the Toronto Lawyers’ Association. He has a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree as well as a Common Law Degree, graduating from the McGill University Faculty of Law in 1983. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 1985.
Charles is President of C-Tel Sports Management Inc. which continues to provide advice to prospective NCAA and U-Sports (formerly CIS) Student-Athletes and their parents. He is also a frequent speaker at Banks and other Financial Institutions as well as Automobile Dealers Associations.
Charles is an avid supporter of the Theatre and Arts in the GTA as well as a Supporter of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. He can be seen often at the Rogers Centre for Jays games, BMO Field for TFC games and the Scotiabank Arena for Leafs and Raptors games and the Oakville arenas for local hockey events. First and foremost, he enjoys quality time with his family, hiking, cross country skiing, and reading a good book or watching a good movie.
